Chairman’s Introduction
"Imagination, innovation and determination are the hallmarks of our business development"
Each year at Dubai International Airport, more than 16 million passengers, over 800,000 tonnes of cargo and 160,000 aircraft movements of over 105 airlines are all looked after by Dnata's Airport Services Division.
Providing reliable, efficient and cost-effective passenger, cargo, ramp and technical support services to airlines at Dubai has been Dnata's responsibility for over 40 years. During this time Dnata has taken a leading role in Dubai International Airport's development from a quiet desert landing strip into one of the world's busiest airports and the prime hub for the entire Middle East region. Today, with a staff of over 5,000 professionals, a fleet of more than 640 operational support vehicles and some of the industry's most advanced computer technology, Dnata is able to handle, rapidly and economically, any aircraft, in any configuration, carrying any sort of load.
An early pioneer of innovation and service excellence, Dnata Airport Operations has been ISO 9001 certified since early 2000 and recently AHS 1000 accredited. While justifiably proud of our achievements, they are but the foundation for the future - a future in which we will continue to develop the range and quality of services which passengers, shippers and airlines have come to rely on.
Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum Chairman
Passenger Services
Dnata Passenger Services is committed to providing high quality customer services through its highly professional staff. The staff undergo thorough professional service and system training in order to ensure smooth handling of passengers throughout the airport. VIP or unaccompanied child, business traveller or holidaymaker, visitor or resident – all customers are valued by Dnata Passenger Services. In fact, every facet of the organisation has been designed to ensure passengers’ rapid and easy transit through all airport formalities.
Dynamic Multi-Access Check-in System (DMACS ), the world’s first multi-access departure control system, enables speedy check-in and improved customer service. It uses a common format for data entry, which is directly linked to a carrier’s own computer system to provide a variety of system services - through check-in, boarding pass and bar-coded baggage tag printing, catering control, load planning, pre-flight editing & controlling, passenger information list and seat chart presentation.
The Special Handling Team is responsible for meeting the needs of passengers with special requirements. The team is made up of highly trained personnel who look after children travelling alone and infirm or disabled passengers.
