At the Global Anti-Scam Summit London 2025, Workshop 2 focused on international lessons in scam fighting, offering a diverse set of perspectives from public and private stakeholders. The session was hosted by F-Secure and chaired by Kate Griffin of the Aspen Institute.
Speakers shared successful strategies from around the world, including the Netherlands’ Operation Centurion, Australia’s National Anti-Scam Centre, and Geneva’s cybercrime intelligence hub. Presenters also addressed challenges in data sharing, scam-related legislation, and law enforcement collaboration across borders.
The OCCRP presented findings from its ‘Scam Empire’ investigation—an exposé based on leaked data from a Georgian scam call centre—while F-Secure unpacked how telecoms and service providers can become trusted defenders in the scam pandemic.
The panel discussion highlighted recurring themes: the growing role of AI in scams, the need for multi-sector engagement, and the urgency of international cooperation to trace money, dismantle networks, and empower consumers.
