GASA Working Groups
GASA Working Groups bring the GASA community together to turn ideas into action on scams and fraud.
These groups are designed to move beyond discussion and deliver real outcomes – policy proposals, frameworks, guidance, and practical tools that can be adopted across sectors and regions. They provide a structured way for GASA members to collaborate, share expertise, and help define shared priorities across the GASA community.
Members may join one or more Working Groups, depending on their expertise and interests. Participation is open to all GASA members, regardless of sector or geography, and may include non-member experts where relevant.
Together, the Working Groups cover the full scam lifecycle – from public awareness and prevention, through detection and disruption, to enforcement, research, and financial safeguards.

Education
Public awareness and scam resilience through evidence-based education.
Intelligence Sharing
Actionable information exchange across sectors and borders.
Enforcement
Improving coordination and deterrence across enforcement and private sector actors.
Prevention and Intervention
Stopping scams upstream through stronger systems and safeguards.
Research
Building evidence and insight to inform policy and best practices.
Finance
Protecting the financial system from exploitation by scammers.
How the Working Groups Operate
Groups meet monthly or bi-monthly, depending on their focus, and are oriented around defined deliverables such as frameworks, guidance, policy input, and practical tools.
Work may be supported by sub-groups or time-bound projects focused on specific outcomes.
Discussions are held under the Chatham House rule to encourage open and constructive collaboration, and active contribution from participants is expected.
Working Groups are expected to develop and deliver practical outputs that reflect member-led priorities and real-world needs.
Where relevant, this work will help inform discussions, sessions, and reporting at GASA’s Global Anti-Scam Summits and other events.
